The sublimation aluminum sheets support dye sublimation transfer, providing vivid image or design. We provide mirror, brushed, pearl, high gloss and matte ones for you to choose from. Inquire now!
It is an aluminum alloy sheet that uses thermal transfer technology to achieve pattern transfer. Its surface is specially treated to present a variety of effects, which supports dye sublimation transfer. The image or design can be permanently transferred to the sublimation aluminum sheet surface through dye sublimation printing technology.

Structural Layer | Core Component | Thickness(mm) | Function |
Base Layer (Supporting Core | Aluminum alloy (mostly 3-series, 5-series, or 1100 pure aluminum) | 0.2mm - 3mm (0.5-1.5mm is common) | Providing aluminum sheet strength, flatness, and plasticity |
Pre treatment Layer | Chromized/chromium-free passivation layer | 5-15μm | Solving the "adhesion problem" between substrate and coating |
Sublimation Receiving Layer (Pattern Carrier) | Modified polyester resin (primarily modified PET resin) | 10-25μm | This is the "key functional layer" for sublimation transfer printing. |
Protective Coating | Transparent weather-resistant resin (such as PVDF fluorocarbon resin, acrylic resin) | 5-20μm | Improving surface properties |
Customized Products: Personalized metal gifts such as metal photos, key chains, refrigerator magnets, dog tags, etc.
Signage: signs, nameplates, license plates, and information boards.
Architectural Decoration: Curtain walls, roofs, and interior and exterior wall decoration.
Home Decoration: furniture panels such as wardrobe doors, cabinet doors, and bookcase side panels, as well as interior wainscoting and background walls.

Core Equipment: Thermal transfer machine (temperature range must reach 180-220°C), sublimation printer (compatible with thermal transfer ink), computer (installed with design software such as photoshop or illustrator).
Consumables: Sublimation aluminum plate, sublimation transfer paper, high-temperature tape (to secure the paper), high-temperature gloves (for operator protection).
Image design and printing
Use design software to create or adjust the image, ensuring the size matches the aluminum plate.
Use a sublimation printer to print the image in reverse onto the transfer paper.
Aluminum plate pre- treatment
Wipe the aluminum plate surface with alcohol or acetone to remove oil, dust, and ensure it is clean.
If the aluminum plate has a protective film, remove it beforehand.
Securing and heat transfer
Place the printed transfer paper (image side down) on the aluminum plate and secure the corners and edges with high-temperature tape to prevent shifting.
Preheat the heat transfer machine to 180-220°C. Adjust the pressure to moderate enough to prevent the paper from sliding.
Place the aluminum plate (transfer paper side down) and heat for 20-60 seconds.
Cooling and finishing
After heating, take out the aluminum plate while wearing gloves and remove the transfer paper while still hot (to avoid ink residue).
Let it cool to room temperature. For added protection, spray with a clear varnish (optional).
Aluminum plate selection: You must use specialized sublimation aluminum plates with a polyester coating. Ordinary aluminum plates will not absorb the dye and will cause the pattern to flake off.
Temperature control: Temperatures that are too low will prevent the dye from fully vaporizing, blurring the pattern. Temperatures that are too high may warp the aluminum plate or damage the coating.
Image quality: Use high-resolution images (300 dpi or higher is recommended) to avoid distortion when enlarging low-resolution images.
